Chicago’s dining scene is constantly evolving, and one of the newest spots making an impression is Dēliz Italian Steakhouse. This elevated Italian steakhouse blends classic flavors with modern presentation, delivering a meal that feels both refined and comforting.
We started strong with the Dēliz Brioche served alongside garlic herb butter. The brioche was incredible — light, flaky, and layered with subtle flavor that paired perfectly with the rich, savory butter.

Next, we ordered the Wagyu Tartare with wagyu tallow aioli, truffle vinaigrette, and grilled ciabatta. The tartare tasted exceptionally fresh and surprisingly light, with just the right amount of truffle to enhance the dish without overpowering the wagyu. Spread over the warm ciabatta, it was the perfect appetizer.

For our main course, we shared the Buffalo Ricotta Gnocchi and the Steak Frites — and both delivered bold, rich flavor. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy, coated in a creamy sauce with a subtle buffalo kick that made it unique without being overwhelming. It’s not a flavor combination you see often on Italian menus in Chicago, which made it even more memorable. The steak frites were absolutely phenomenal — perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and served with crisp fries that balanced the richness of the steak.
On the side, we added broccolini and the Fontina Whipped Potato Purée. The potatoes were ultra-smooth, cheesy, and indulgent, while the broccolini added a welcome freshness to round out the table.
For dessert, we couldn’t skip the cannolis, which were served on a candlestick for a fun and elevated presentation. The shells were crisp, the filling was creamy and lightly sweet, and it felt like the perfect ending to a rich, satisfying meal.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Dēliz Italian Steakhouse. With new restaurants constantly opening in Chicago, you never quite know what to expect — but this one truly impressed me. From the creative gnocchi to the standout steak frites, it’s a spot I’ll absolutely return to.
