Revolver
I was invited to try some of the extensive cocktail menu at Revolver, a moody cocktail bar in Wicker Park, and it did not disappoint. With creative takes on classic cocktails and a cozy, speakeasy-inspired atmosphere, Revolver is a great Chicago cocktail bar to add to your list for a night out or nightcap.
Starting with the Slightly Famous, made with mezcal, Aperol, yuzu, and coconut milk wash, this was a refreshing take on the classic Naked and Famous cocktail. I usually don’t love coconut flavors, but the coconut was subtle enough that it didn’t overpower the other ingredients. The combination of mezcal, citrusy yuzu, and Aperol made this one of my favorites of the night.
They also have a new take on an Espresso Martini made with rum, heavy cream, espresso, and banana syrup. I’m not usually the biggest banana fan, but once again, the flavor was subtle and not overpowering. The espresso and cream made it rich and smooth, while the banana syrup added a unique twist to the classic cocktail.

Overall, Revolver is a great cocktail bar in Chicago with plenty of creative drinks to choose from. The interior has a very moody, speakeasy-esque vibe, making it the perfect spot for a nightcap, date night, or cozy evening out.
