Ci Siamo

For the final meal on my New York City trip, I knew I wanted to end on a high note—and Ci Siamo easily became one of my favorite restaurants we visited. Located in Manhattan and known for its wood-fired dishes and handmade pastas, Ci Siamo delivered on both atmosphere and flavor.
We started with the Gnocco Fritto filled with goat gouda, a dish I’d absolutely order again. The airy, crispy dough paired perfectly with the creamy, slightly tangy Gouda. It was the ideal light starter before diving into the rest of the menu.

We also tried the house salad, which reminded me of a super fresh, elevated Caesar. The lettuce was crisp, and the black pepper added such bold flavor—it made something simple taste incredibly memorable.

For our main course, we shared the Rigatoni Alla Gricia, one of Ci Siamo’s signature pasta dishes. The rigatoni was cooked to a perfectly chewy al dente, and the gricia sauce had that dreamy balance of creaminess and rich pepperiness that I love. If you’re a cacio e pepe fan, this is the pasta you need to try in NYC.

Ci Siamo ended up being a standout meal from my New York trip. From the cozy yet lively atmosphere to the delicious pasta options, everything felt thoughtfully prepared. If you’re looking for one of the best pasta restaurants in NYC—or planning where to eat on your next New York City visit—Ci Siamo is absolutely worth adding to your list.
