Pizz’Amici has quickly become one of the most sought-after reservations in Chicago, with limited seating and high demand making it one of the toughest tables to secure. When a 10pm reservation opened up, I grabbed it immediately, and it absolutely delivered on the hype. From standout cocktails to ultra-crispy pizzas, this Chicago pizza spot offers a full dining experience that lives up to its buzz.
One of the highlights of the night were the cocktails. I ordered the Margarita Verde, made with bell pepper–infused Gran Centenario, orange liqueur, basil, and lime. The balance of sweet and savory flavors made this one of the most memorable cocktails I’ve had recently. It’s a unique twist on a classic margarita and a must-order when dining at Pizz’Amici.

To start, we ordered the Chopped Salad, loaded with shredded iceberg, salami, garbanzo beans, marinated artichokes, red onion, mozzarella, provolone, pepperoncini, pecorino, and a red wine vinaigrette. Every bite was packed with bold, tangy, and savory flavors, making it one of the shareable dishes that easily stands out on the table.

One of the evening specials was the Giardiniera Arancini, which came out perfectly crisp on the outside and packed with flavor on the inside. The giardiniera added a subtle kick, giving this classic Italian appetizer a Chicago-inspired twist.

For the main event, we ordered two pizzas:
Italian Beef Pizza: The standout of the night. Each slice was thin, crispy, and full of rich, savory flavor, easily my favorite.
Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza: A classic combination done exceptionally well, with a perfectly crisp crust and balanced toppings.
The pizzas here lean thin and crunchy, making them incredibly satisfying without feeling too heavy.

Pizz’Amici lives up to its reputation as one of the more hyped pizza restaurants in Chicago. From creative cocktails to flavorful starters and perfectly crisp pizzas, every part of the meal felt thoughtfully executed. The late-night reservation ended up being the perfect way to experience it, and the overall meal made it clear why this spot is so difficult to book.
