I had the chance to dine at Dimmi Dimmi Chicago during its opening week, and it exceeded all expectations. From classic cocktails to inventive Italian dishes, this new neighborhood gem quickly earned a spot on my list of go-to Italian restaurants in Chicago.

We began with an Aperol Spritz, which was perfectly classic and refreshing—a great way to kick off an evening of Italian dining in Chicago.

One of my favorites from the starters was the Italian Beef Carpaccio with giardiniera, beef jus aioli, parmesan, and sesame sourdough. This unique take on the classic beef carpaccio had a distinct Chicago twist and was a standout dish of the night. We also enjoyed the Caesar Salad, which was a perfect complement to the carpaccio and balanced the meal beautifully.

For the next course, we tried the Vodka Pizza, served tavern-style with vodka sauce, sweet onions, Calabrian chili, and a cheese blend. The pizza crust was perfectly crispy, and the vodka sauce added a rich, flavorful touch that made this a must-order dish.

Of course, we couldn’t skip pasta. The Spicy Vodka Stuffed Shells with ricotta, pecorino, and Calabrian chili were incredible—even after the vodka pizza! The ricotta combined with the spicy vodka sauce created a rich, comforting dish that highlighted the balance in flavor and spice.

To finish the meal, we indulged in Profiteroles with coffee ice cream and warm chocolate sauce. This light, cool dessert was the perfect ending to a flavorful Italian meal in Chicago.

The atmosphere at Dimmi Dimmi was lively and welcoming, filled with excited neighborhood patrons during opening week. Every dish we tried was delicious, with the Vodka Pizza and Italian Beef Carpaccio standing out as must-try items. For anyone seeking a new Italian dining experience, Dimmi Dimmi Chicago is a great spot for bold flavors, inventive dishes, and a vibrant neighborhood vibe.
