Layla & Ringo's

Layla & Ringo's is a newer must-visit café in River North, bringing fresh coffee, pastries, and flavorful breakfast options to the Chicago food scene. As a fan of checking out new coffee spots, I stopped in to try their drinks and menu items. I started with a vanilla latte and a coffee cake muffin, both of which were the perfect way to kick off the morning. The latte was smooth and well-balanced, while the muffin was soft, crumbly, and had a subtle cinnamon flavor.

Although avocado toast isn’t always my first choice, I couldn’t resist ordering this version, topped with tomato, burrata, and a poached egg on sourdough bread. The creamy burrata and ripe tomatoes added incredible flavor, while the poached egg gave it a rich texture. It was one of the most satisfying and well-balanced avocado toasts I’ve had in Chicago.

Layla & Ringo’s is a great addition to the Chicago café scene, offering local bakery goods, expertly crafted coffee, and a menu full of delicious breakfast options. Whether you're stopping by for a quick latte or sitting down for a full meal, this cozy café is worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back soon to try more of their breakfast items!
