Danny Boy
While visiting Cincinnati, one of my friends recommended dining at Danny Boy after having an incredible experience there before, so I knew I had to add it to my list. From the fresh seafood to the perfectly executed entrees, every dish we ordered had a ton of flavor and its own unique profile.
To start, we ordered the tartare, Hamachi crudo, farm salad, and bread service. I enjoyed all of the dishes because everything tasted incredibly fresh while still bringing something different to the table. The tartare was mustard-forward, the Hamachi crudo had bright citrusy flavors, and the farm salad was crisp and refreshing. It was a great mix of lighter dishes to start the meal.
For our entrees, we ordered the salmon, gnocchi, and burger. Everything was phenomenal, but the gnocchi was one of my favorite bites of the night. I loved how crispy the gnocchi was from being seared, and the sauce added so much flavor. The burger was another table favorite, especially because of the caper mayo, which gave it a flavorful twist. I also enjoyed the salmon and dill cream sauce, which gave the dish the perfect balance of fresh and savory flavors.
Overall, I loved getting to try this newer Cincinnati restaurant. Danny Boy is an unassuming spot with an impressive menu and delicious, fresh flavors. It’s definitely a restaurant I would recommend adding to your Cincinnati dining list.
