If you're looking for the perfect rooftop cocktail hour in Chicago, Chateau Carbide in the Loop should be on your list. Located at the top of the Pendry Hotel, this rooftop bar offers views of the city skyline and a charming atmosphere that makes it ideal for after-work drinks.

We kicked off our evening with a bottle of Whispering Angel rosé, perfect for sipping as we enjoyed the fresh post-rain air and rooftop views.

While the food menu at Chateau Carbide is more curated than expansive, it pairs perfectly with the drink selection. We ordered the Charcuterie Plate, which came with an assortment of artisanal cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruit, jam, honey, and crisp crackers. It was a satisfying and flavorful board that complemented our wine well.

Whether you're planning a date night in downtown Chicago, a casual evening with friends, or a solo sunset moment, Chateau Carbide delivers on ambiance, wine, and elevated bites. With stunning rooftop views and a crafted menu, it's a must-visit before rooftop season comes to a close.
