Carpenter Street is one of Fulton Market’s newest rebranded restaurants offering a fresh take on elevated comfort food. With an impressive menu, creative cocktails, and a beautiful patio space, this Chicago spot is perfect for a laid-back Friday night dinner or a casual weekend outing.
To kick things off, I ordered an Aperol Spritz—light, refreshing, and a great way to start a warm summer evening on the patio.

For our appetizer, we tried the Four Cheese Dip with House Cheese, Spinach, and Artichoke. While rich and creamy, this dip was a bit heavy for the hot weather but would be perfect for cooler months or indoor dining.

My favorite dish of the night was hands down the Carpenter Street Salad. Made with pulled chicken, dates, tomato, avocado, goat cheese, and cornbread croutons, all tossed in a zesty jalapeño vinaigrette, this salad was an incredible combination of sweet, savory, and spicy. The flavors and textures worked perfectly together and made it a standout dish I’d return for.

For the main course, we shared the Carpenter Griddle Burger, featuring two beef patties, American cheese, onions, and their signature special sauce—a classic, juicy burger done right. We paired it with a side of crispy truffle fries, which added a great touch to the meal.

To finish, we ordered the Skillet Cookie, which arrived warm and gooey—just as a classic dessert should be. It was the perfect sweet ending after a few glasses of wine and a flavorful dinner.

From the lively patio ambiance to the flavorful menu offerings, Carpenter Street in Fulton Market delivered a memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for one of the best salads in Chicago, a solid burger, or refreshing cocktails, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
