If you’re searching for the best breakfast sandwiches in Chicago, Nookies should definitely be on your list. Nookies Chicago is a go-to brunch spot that locals and visitors alike line up for every weekend. After walking past the constant crowd outside, I knew it was finally time to try it for myself—and it did not disappoint.

I ordered the B.E.S.T. Breakfast Sandwich, served on perfectly toasted sourdough with crispy bacon, over-medium eggs, fresh spinach, juicy tomato, and a flavorful chipotle mayo. It was a little messy, but absolutely phenomenal. The balance of smoky bacon, creamy yolk, and zesty mayo made this a great breakfast sandwich.

No trip to Nookies is complete without ordering pancakes for the table. We went with the classic chocolate chip pancakes, and they were fluffy, sweet, and perfectly indulgent—everything you want in a Chicago brunch spot.

After finally dining here, I completely understand why there’s always a line outside of Nookies. The menu is full of tempting options beyond breakfast sandwiches, and the quality of the food makes it worth the wait. Between the B.E.S.T. Sandwich and the pancakes, this brunch spot has quickly become one of my go-tos in the city.
