GG's Chicken Shop

GG’s Chicken Shop has been a long-standing favorite to try on my Chicago restaurant list, known for its crispy fried chicken, bold flavors, and elevated fast-casual menu. With a reputation for serving some of the best chicken sandwiches and wraps in Chicago, it was finally time to see if it lived up to the hype.

The standout order was the Chicken Caesar Wrap, made with crispy fried chicken, kale and Brussels sprouts, pickled onion, and Caesar dressing. The fried chicken delivered the perfect crunch, while the kale and Brussels added freshness. The Caesar dressing tied everything together with a creamy, savory finish, creating a wrap that was both satisfying and packed with flavor.

On the side, the Crispy Brussels with chili lime salt were a must-order. They were perfectly crisp with a bold, tangy seasoning that added a bright kick to the dish. The waffle fries, coated in GG’s signature spice rub, were crispy, well-seasoned, and ideal for sharing. Both sides complemented the wrap and added more variety to the meal.

GG’s Chicken Shop delivers exactly what it’s known for—flavorful, crispy chicken and well-executed sides. The Chicken Caesar Wrap stands out as one of the best chicken wraps in Chicago, with the sides rounding out a meal that fully lives up to expectations.
