Whenever I’m back in Cincinnati, I love finding new restaurants to try — and Colette was at the top of my list after hearing so many rave reviews. From the first bite to the last, this French-inspired restaurant delivered an incredible dining experience.
We started the meal with both bread options — the Pain Maison, a fresh brioche served with seasonal butter, was light, fluffy, and perfectly rich. The second bread option, the Animal Farm Creamery Butter Service, is only available at a handful of restaurants across the country. Served with cultured butter, vegetables, and Blue Oven bread.

To balance out the heavier bread service, we ordered two lighter starters: the Parisian Carrot Salad with parsley and cider vinaigrette, and the Roasted Beets with crème fraîche, goat cheese, citrus, and horseradish. Both dishes were bright, refreshing, and beautifully plated — a perfect start before the main course.

The star of the night was the Icelandic Cod, served with toasted brioche, caviar beurre blanc, and wilted spinach. This dish was absolutely incredible — the buttery sauce and toasted brioche added richness to the mild fish, creating one of the better entrées I’ve ever had. Every bite was flavorful, balanced, and luxurious.

Colette Cincinnati is an exceptional spot for anyone who loves French-inspired flavors. Every dish showcased incredible technique and attention to detail, and that Icelandic Cod is a dish I’ll be dreaming about until my next visit.
