Since Salazar’s was one of my most anticipated restaurants to try for dinner, I thought it would be perfect to try brunch there as well. My family was in town for a wedding, so I took them to Salazar’s so that we could all give it a try.

We began the meal with bloody marys and mimosas which everyone enjoyed. We ordered the Fried Brussel Sprouts that had pimeton and yuzu aioli, and the Sweet Cornmeal Donut Holes with vanilla custard in the middle.

Both of these starters were super good especially the donuts – I loved the sweetness and it was just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.

The menu has very unique options, so it was difficult for everyone to figure out exactly what they wanted to try. My mom, sister, and her boyfriend all ordered the Chicken Breakfast Sausage Sandwich which had avocado, pepper jack cheese, watercress, and siracha aioli. My dad ordered the Brioche French Toast with crème anglaise, fresh fruit, cinnamon whipped cream, and granola – I tried his food and it was delicious.

I decided to order the Goetta Sandwich with American cheese, arugula, garlic aioli, and pickled pepper jam all on an English muffin. All of the flavors mixed with the delicious goetta was such a great combination.

Salazar’s is one of my favorite restaurants in Cincinnati, so I was excited to try the brunch being that I loved the dinner menu so much. It’s such a universal restaurant with delicious flavors and unique menu options.
