Wow — this was one of the more surprising restaurants I have been to that I cannot seem to stop talking about.

Once again, this restaurant has been on my list for a while, so my friend Kayla and I finally decided we needed to go. One of the main reasons that we wanted to try was because you can sit on pillows while you eat — very authentic.
We started the meal with some warm tea — usually, I am not much of a tea person, but this was delicious. I ordered the mint tea which I enjoyed a great amount. They also came in these cute, personal teapots which were unique.

Our first course was appetizers and I had to get the potstickers or Goo Man Du as the menu said. The potstickers were delicious with pork and vegetables in them and the dipping sauce was similar to a soy sauce.

Kayla and I wanted to try a few items on the menu, so we asked the waiter for his recommendations and we were not disappointed.
We ordered the Dae Ji Bul Go Gi — which was Korean beef with vegetables. The flavor on this dish was phenomenal and it came with a side of white rice which we added to our meal.

Another item the waiter suggested was Dol Sot Bi Bim Bab — this was super delicious. This had chicken, all sorts of vegetables, fried rice, all with an over-easy egg on top. This came in a steaming cauldron thing and had absolutely amazing flavor.

Kayla and I both loved the dinner and tea that we ordered. There were so many different items that I would want to go back and try at Riverside. The flavors and all of the different sauces that came with the dishes were exquisite.
