Mott St

Mott St may be best known for its famous burger, but after dining here, I can confidently say the entire menu deserves just as much attention. This Asian American restaurant in Chicago delivers bold flavors across every dish, making it a standout spot I can’t wait to revisit.

We started the meal with several appetizers, beginning with the Crispy Cauliflower tossed in a sweet and tangy glaze with Bird’s Eye chili and Szechuan peppercorn. We also ordered the Garlic Rice, topped with roasted garlic, and the Everything Wings glazed with soy, dried chili, and fried shallots. To round out the starters, we tried the Imperial Rolls filled with pork, basil, mint, lettuce, bean sprouts, and served with nuoc cham.

While every appetizer delivered on flavor, my favorites were the Garlic Rice and Everything Wings. The savory-sweet wing sauce paired perfectly with the garlic rice, creating an unexpectedly perfect bite.

For the main attraction, we ordered the Mott Burger, made with double chuck patties, sweet potato shoestrings, hoisin aioli, pickled jalapeños, dill pickles, miso butter onions, and American cheese. This burger truly lived up to the hype — balanced, flavorful, and perfectly textured without being overly saucy.

We added a few more dishes, including the Stuffed Cabbage layered with pan-seared napa kimchi, braised pork shoulder, sticky rice, and kimchi broth. Served almost like an Asian-inspired lasagna, this dish was incredibly unique and flavorful.

To finish, we shared the Everything Garlic & Shrimp Noodles, featuring wok-tossed pasta, wild gulf shrimp, garlic butter, scallions, and everything sauce. Simple, rich, and deeply flavorful, this ended the meal on a high note.

From the iconic burger to the garlic noodles and rice, Mott St in Chicago exceeded expectations. Every dish was thoughtful, bold, and memorable — making it a must-visit for anyone looking to explore Asian American cuisine in the city.
