If you’re looking for one of Chicago’s most talked-about new restaurants, Creepies is a must-visit. With Michelin Guide predictions already creating buzz, I made a reservation early to enjoy the innovative French-inspired menu before the crowds arrived.
We started the meal with the warm brie gougères, which were perfectly baked dough bites filled with melted cheese — a simple but satisfying starter.

For appetizers, we tried the Roasted Carrots, Tarte Flambé, and Steamed Mussels. The carrots had incredible sweetness from the sultanas, and the tarte flambé was crispy, rich, and decadent. The steamed mussels, however, lacked flavor and were a miss for the table.
For our main courses, we sampled the Parisian Gnocchi with Swiss, ham, and egg yolk, Roasted Chicken with liver and wine sauce, and Celeriac Dauphinois with Escargot. The gnocchi was creamy, cheesy, and elevated by the rich egg yolk. The roasted chicken was perfectly juicy with a flavorful sauce, and the celeriac dauphinois with escargot was a surprising highlight — a unique twist on potatoes that was absolutely delicious.
Overall, Creepies in Chicago delivers bold flavors, thoughtful presentation, and an intimate dining experience. From the creative appetizers to the indulgent mains, it’s clear why this restaurant has quickly become one of the city’s hottest spots. Just skip the mussels, and you’re in for a culinary treat!
