When I finally made plans to spend a Saturday exploring Chinatown in Chicago, I turned to my notes app for restaurant suggestions. One spot that immediately stood out was Ken Kee Restaurant—with a note I had written that said, “good crab rangoons.” That was reason enough to make it one of the first stops on my Chinatown food tour.

From the moment we stepped into Ken Kee, the atmosphere completely transported us. The restaurant's vibrant decor, especially the neon lights, created an amazing dining experience.

Naturally, we kicked things off with an order of the crab rangoons, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. The wonton wrappers were perfectly crispy, and the filling was generous with crab meat—balanced with just the right amount of creaminess. The crab-to-wonton ratio was spot-on, making these some of the best crab rangoons that I’ve tried.

While there were so many tempting dishes on the menu, we kept things light to save room for more stops throughout the day. That said, I’ll definitely be returning to Ken Kee for a full meal. Whether you're on a Chinatown food crawl or just craving flavorful Chinese appetizers in a visually exciting setting, this spot is worth adding to your list.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Not that this isn't obvious, but I am not a professional writer - I don't claim to be one either. Cut me some slack on my writing for a little bit. It will get better!
