Boomtown Biscuits and Whiskey is a brunch restaurant that I found a few months ago but had not gone yet, so I thought it was the perfect place for my family and me to try when they came to Cincinnati.

For some reason my mom and dad only like virgin bloody mary’s, so I decided to pull the plug and try one for the first time. I loved this bloody mary because it was a little spicy and there was a lot of pickle juice in it.

At Boomtown Biscuits and Whiskey obviously, you have to order the famous biscuits to try. These biscuits were so delicious with the warm and soft inside combined with the crispy and buttery outside. They came with a few different spreads of jam, butter, and some sort of meat spread. All of these were absolutely delicious and were all scraped clean.

I decided to order the Oregon Trail for my meal and it was phenomenal. It had sweet potatoes, Brussel sprouts, kale, carrots, poblano peppers, bulgogi glaze, and a fried egg on top. The flavors on this were delicious and I loved every bite. The glaze on top gave the food an Asian fusion flavor and overall it was just great.

Of course, we had to get the dessert that the waitress recommended for us to try. It was a skillet cookie with a jalapeno cream cheese spread and a chocolate-covered strawberry. This sounds odd, and it was, but I enjoyed it and was happy to try something new.

Boomtown Biscuits and Whiskey was the perfect place to take my family for some brunch. Everything that we all tried was delicious and I enjoyed the entire meal. I definitely would recommend brunch or any meal here to anyone because they have such good flavor for everyone’s liking.
