I love all Greek food, so it was exciting to see Okto open up in downtown Cincinnati. I watched for months waiting for Okto to open, and it was great to finally try.

For drinks to begin the meal, Grace and I both started with a spicy margarita. There were delicious flavors of fruits and also the spicy pepper flavor in it as well.

There were tons of different dishes that we saw go past our seats, and they all looked so tasteful and like something we needed to try. We did go to the restaurant expecting to try a few appetizers, so we began with the Flaming Saganaki. This was a super odd dish that was fried, traditional greek, Kefalograviera cheese, and bread.
This cheese came on fire which created a nice, crispy outer layer. It was delicious, but I wish there were some more flavors in the dish rather than just cheese and bread.

We also decided to order the Meza Platter which had hummus, tzatziki, htipiti, pita, and bread. I loved all of the flavors on the dish because they tasted authentic.
The hummus was delicious as well as the htipiti. I had never had htipiti before, but it is essentially hummus with red peppers instead of chick peas.

Overall, Okto definitely seemed to be authentically Greek and all of the dishes looked phenomenal. I loved the Meza Platter that we tried because all of the flavors tasted fresh. It was a bonus as well that I found the htipiti which is a unique, but delicious flavor.
