I finally made my way to Wise Guy Lounge in Over the Rhine after hearing so much about it. For those who do not know, both of the Goodfellas Pizzerias have a cocktail bar above them, and I have heard nothing but great things.
We started with some of the signature cocktails on the menu — the Dizzy with a Dime for me which had tequila, watermelon, mint, and lemon. Grace ordered the Mexican Shakedown with tequila, cucumber, raspberry, rosemary, lemon, and egg white.
I loved my drink because it tasted incredibly refreshing and she added egg white on top of mine which I love. Grace’s tasted great as well — more of a margarita flavor in hers.

One thing I had been wanting to try is a Negroni but with Aperol instead of Campari, so I figured this would be a good time to try it. I had never tried a Negroni before, but it has gin, vermouth, and Aperol. I did not love the drink, but I was happy to finally try it.
Grace ordered the Purple Rain cocktail with gin, Violette liqueur, and lemon.

Grace and I were ready to leave and close out our tabs when some people offered to buy us a drink - so we had to try an Aperol Spritz. The spritz was delicious, and the bartender had put a lemon in which was a great addition to the drink.

Overall, Wise Guy did not disappoint. I loved the atmosphere in the bar, and it was the perfect place to grab cocktails after work. There were many drinks to choose from, and the bartender definitely knew what she was doing because all of the drinks were great.
