Oakley Wines

One of my hometown girlfriends came to Cincinnati for the weekend which means that I had to find the tastiest places to bring her to try.

Yelp has been my best friend recently, and when I searched for some wine bars near me, Oakley Wines looked like it would be the perfect place to take her. I was completely right because I was extremely impressed with the wine and food choices.

One of the best parts of the restaurant was the vibe of the place – with the open fireplace and green, velvet booths, it had a warm and trendy feeling.

Our first drink order was the wine flight that contained two white bubbly wines and 2 red wines. I enjoyed all of the wines that I had – even the red – and I even took a picture of the name so that I can remember for next time. It was the perfect beginning to our meal together.

We went way too hard on the food situation here, but it was completely worth it. Beginning with a charcuterie board, which had delicious cheese and spicy Italian meat on it. For our “main meal” we split the Salmon Rillettes and Potato Gnocchi. Both of these had unique flavors that were excellent.

Oakley Wines was such a pleasant and fulfilling experience, and I was incredibly happy that I found it for my friend and me to try. I definitely want to go back and try more wines and eat the charcuterie board again. City Spritz Ranking – 4/10
