I honestly had not heard of Hugo's before I dined there but now realize it's a Chicago classic spot to try. I had no expectations when I went with my mom, and I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious it was.

We started the meal with the Lobster Artichoke which was outstanding. This dish was pretty simple with some lobster stuffed into the artichoke with a delicious lemon vinaigrette.

For our main dishes, my mom ordered the famous Shrimp de Jonge with shrimp, dijon sauce, garlic bread crumbs, and basmati rice. This shrimp dish was unbelievable. I loved the super lemony flavor, and it was simply amazing. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll and Oysters Rockefeller which both were delicious.

Overall, I had no expectations for Hugo's and completely loved everything I tasted there. Fresh seafood is such a treat, and I loved how much lemon was used in most dishes. I definitely will be going back for more of the Shrimp de Jonge because it was phenomenal.
