Holtman's Donuts

Holtman’s is a donut shop that everyone raves about in Cincinnati. I had to see what all the hype was about, and I ended up loving the different donut variety they had.

I have been to Holtman’s twice now, the first time was the Over the Rhine location, and my roommate and I split the glazed blueberry donut. Usually, I would never try a blueberry donut, but I was glad that my roommate had recommended it to me.

I recently went back to Holtman’s to the Oakley location to give the donuts another try on Sunday morning. I ended up getting three donuts – custard-filled, glazed blueberry, and the cake donut with buttercream icing on it.

My favorite kind of donut is a Long John – not sure if that is a universal term for it or not. I have never had one of those with custard filling, usually, I have had it with more of a whipped cream filling, but it was still delicious.

Holtman’s is the perfect stop on a Sunday morning for some donuts. Every time I pass the shop, it’s constantly busy and people from Cincinnati are always recommending this place as one to try.
