Cincinnati restaurant week was stacked with delicious restaurants that I had not dined at yet. I went with a few friends to Forno Bar + Osteria for the amazing restaurant week tasting menu.

I started the meal with an Aperol spritz and my choice for the first course which was the Heirloom Caprese. The salad was super fresh, but I wished I would have ordered the Forno Meatballs which tasted absolutely delicious.

For the second course, I had trouble deciding whether to get the Asparagus Risotto or the Gnocchi. Ultimately, I decided on the gnocchi because it sounded so good. It had a garlicky fondue with the gnocchi and was so delicious - probably the best flavor of gnocchi that I have had. I tried a bite of the risotto too, and it was just as great.

The third and final course was a hard one to decide which to order. There was the Branzino Panzanella or the Braised Beef Short Rib. I decided on the branzino because I love seafood, but I wish I would have ordered the short rib. The branzino was still delicious with all of the flavors and vegetables, but the short rib flavor was super savory and the parsnip puree was fantastic.

Forno was such a delicious restaurant to try during restaurant week. I loved all of the different choices of food and they were all amazing. I definitely want to try the main menu, and I am sure that it will be just as great.
