I have a love/hate relationship with long lines outside of bakeries or any food places. I hate it because you have to wait in line (and right now in the cold weather), but I love it because you know you’re in line for some delicious food.

Subscribing to Dictionary.com’s word of the day has done me well this year. I had never implemented any of the words I had learned until I went to Bonomini Bakery and saw their famous donut was a paczki – which was my word of the day earlier in the year.
Although I got to the bakery too late to try their famous paczki, they still had plenty of fresh donuts to try after waiting in the cold line. The line went by super quick, and I decided to taste test three of their donuts. I tried a glazed, strawberry, and pecan donut (they didn't have any specific names).

The glazed donut was delicious and there was a hint of cinnamon in it, so I would consider it a ~mild~ cinnamon roll. The strawberry donut was my favorite of the three and the best way to describe it is that it tasted a strawberry toaster strudel – the flavor was delicious and I would guess it would have resembled the paczki the most. The third donut was glazed with pecans on top, and you absolutely can’t go wrong with putting pecans on something – it was yummy.
Bonomini Bakery was the perfect Saturday morning trip for me and I’m happy that I was able to experience the wonderful donuts. I will be going back to Bonomini to 1. try the paczki donut and 2. try the homemade coffee cake that looked amazing.
