Abigail Street
Abigail Street is a Mediterranean restaurant that I am actually so upset that I hadn’t been before now.
Grace and I waited in a long line to finally dine at Abigail’s, and the wait was well worth it. I love Mediterranean food, and it’s something that I never get a chance to eat that often. I know now that I will definitely be craving it constantly.
Abigail Street is a tapas restaurant, so Grace and I mapped out what exactly we wanted to share for the night. I began with a glass of prosecco, and Grace ordered the house white wine which was delicious. It tasted a little bit like a wine mixed with sparkling cider – I would definitely get that the next time I go.
We began with the crispy falafel that had chickpeas – obviously, baba ghanoush, mint, and tahini. It was so tasteful and colorful as well. If you haven’t tried falafel, I recommend it because it always a flavorful and crunchy bite to eat.
Of course, we had to order the hummus for an appetizer as well. This might have been the best hummus I’ve had.

Regardless, the humus was delicious and had Kalamata olives – which I had never tried before, and I was pleasantly surprised that I liked them. The best part was the pita bread that came with the hummus. It was straight out of the oven and had such delicious seasonings topped on it.
Although we were pretty full from our appetizers, the waitress told us that we had to taste the bouillabaisse dish. This dish had saffron broth, shrimp, halibut, mussels, grilled toast, and rouille. This was absolutely amazing. The waitress had described it as “you could drink the broth” and she was correct because it was so delicious that I wanted more.
Abigail Street is a top favorite restaurant of mine here in Cincinnati. It has the perfect location in OTR and I couldn't hype this place up enough. The food, drinks, and busy atmosphere were unbeatable and I can’t wait to go back and try some more food.
