After an energizing workout class in Chicago’s West Loop, stopping by Vietfive was the perfect way to refuel. Known as a neighborhood staple, Vietfive is celebrated for its exceptional Vietnamese coffee beans and inventive cafe menu.

I opted for the Ube Latte with an extra shot of espresso, and it exceeded all expectations. The latte was perfectly balanced — sweet and creamy with the rich, earthy flavor of ube paired beautifully with the espresso. It’s a must-try for anyone looking to elevate their coffee experience in Chicago.

For snacks, we ordered the S’mores Mochi Donuts and Cookies and Cream Mochi Donuts—both delightfully chewy and light with flavor. The real standout, though, was the ham and cheese pastry. It was surprisingly flavorful with the perfect savory balance, making it an unexpected favorite.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick latte after a workout or indulging in their inventive mochi donuts and pastries, this cafe is a delicious way to experience authentic Vietnamese flavors in Chicago’s West Loop.
